As healthcare practitioners continue to search for multimodal analgesic therapies reduce postoperative opioid requirements, surgical ward nurses need stay up date on the status of emerging therapies. One these is intravenous lidocaine pain management. Unfortunately, there a lack resources assist who are unfamiliar with infusions pain. This article aims review pharmacology management, describe an experience university-affiliated Veterans Affairs hospital implementation ward, and suggest practical tools that can be used develop protocols educational content managing in period.
